Hmmm, if I didn’t already know what was going on in the video, I wouldn’t have understood any spoilers. Nobody would know what is going on untill they reached a certain fight right that takes place before the video.
To me, it seems the quick GFX change would get in the way if it’s assigned to a button or whatever. I just hope he paused, changed graphics from the menu, and edited the pausing out.
WONDERFUL MUSIC! I literally want to cry out of happiness! ^_^
I didn’t notice the graphic swap until the third time I watched, I was so concentrated on the music. But it was amazing too, though I at first tought “wait, there’s an hookup on the youtube connection” or something. Then, I realised that in the beginning of the video, there were the old graphics… Amazed.
Oh, the LEVEL UP!! font was purely spot-on as well.
Like this MUCH better than the old music. Thought the tracks in the other videos were kinda weak, Moonsong aside. But this is a big improvement, very nice.
(I should add, I am really not very crazy about Cave Story music. It does its job but I fail to see what so many do see in it. But don’t worry; I also don’t like the Beatles.)
Hmm, IMHO this one’s actually better than the old track, still, I don’t really like the bushlands/grasstown and sand zone music, those 2 just don’t seem right. And I want my co-op too =3
It’s hard to compare the old and new music. I find that the old music is a bit over the top, this music is a lot more subtle. Both are unique in their own ways… But I love the both! =D
Wow. Nicalis, from the looks of this video, it would seem you’ve done a better job than I could have imagined! KEEP IT UP! ROLL ON E3!
That new music sounds great. The graphics look fantastic. The transition between retro and remix was jumpy but wicked to see in action (I hope there’s a menu option rather than a button you might press by accident, but then, I hope that there’s a further option to enable a button which does just that). I can’t wait to actually burn away a whole lot of hours playing it!
What’s the Wii points cost? Oh, and I would be ecstatic if you’re planning a DS or DSi port!
Hello ^_^ well this seems interesting an old pixel game? I MUST HAVE!?! ^_^OK
What do we need to play Cave Story, that’s my biggest question. for example do we need the Wii remote or the GameCube controller the other controller kinda counts as the GameCube Controller ^_^ and second WHEN WILL IT COME OUT?!?! -.-” so hyped for this game and night game ^_^ but yeah good luck on the game (*^_^)

That quick-graphics-change is going to be really fun to use, in-game…
And it really shows how much work you’ve guys put into this, =D
And hopefully, new players will look at this video very carefully….

And this music I actually like. Seeing as it’s mostly underwater, the subtler tone works well here.

Shame that music is terrible
It was one of my favourite themes as well, and I didn’t recognise it until near the end.

Nostalgia aside, I still greatly prefer the old version for this particular track. The melody here is nonexistent.
